2018 Dues are now due and payable – Insured $10.00 per year. Association (Fire Companies & Organizations) is $15.00 per year. Social Dues is $5.00 per year.

Dues must be paid before June 1st, if not then you are non-beneficial for 6 months until December 1st, according to the by-laws. Fire Companies are non-beneficial, but remind companies that dues must be paid by the convention if you want your company to be able to get awards for the Parade. Any questions please call me. Again – We hope that you continue to be a member of Six County Firemen’s Association. If however you choose to at any time to stop being a member please notify the Secretary in writing ASAP. Reminder also that if you did not pay your dues last year, it is the amount plus $1.00 dollar for being delinquent each year.

You will note your membership number assigned to each member. The First Two Numbers to the Left are the year that you joined Six-County. The Current Amount you Owe for Dues and this will show if your one, two or three years in the rears with late fees. The Amount Listed is what you owe with late fees included. You’re Years of Service, Your Beneficiary that is currently on file. The Company you first joined Six-County, and Your Date of Birth. Also a Check Box for Address Corrections and a Check Box for New Will Form to be sent to you if required. Also you’re Telephone Number to add, this will assist when a death occurs, etc. YOU MUST RETURN THE BOTTOM LEFT SECTION YOU RECEIVED TO THE SECRETARY TO SHOW THAT YOU PAID YOUR DUES; THIS PORTION ALSO HAS RETURN TO SECRETARY ON THE BACK. THERE IS A BARCODE ON THAT PORTION. THIS IS FOR SECRETARY’S USE AND IT IS NEEDED TO VERIFY YOU PAID CURRENT AND PAST DUES. PLEASE USE THE UPPER PORTION AS YOUR RECEIPT AS IT WILL HAVE YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER ON IT ALONG WITH THE CURRENT YEAR AND AMOUNT THAT IS BEING PAID.
YOU WILL ALSO NOTE THAT YOU HAVE YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD TO CUT OUT ON THE RIGHT SIDE OF THE BOTTOM PORTION. PLEASE KEEP AND RETAIN THIS CARD.
YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD WILL NOW BE YOUR VOTING SLIP. YOUR MEMBERSHIP NUMBER IS YOUR VOTING NUMBER.

Hanover Township Convention
The 2018 Hanover Township Convention will be a 2-Day Convention. The Business portion will be held during the morning of Friday June 22nd, starting at 09:00 AM and afternoon session starts at 1:30PM. The meetings will be at the new fire station!
At 11:15 AM on Friday June 22nd will be the Memorial Service – the location is to be announced later.
The Banquet will be held on Thursday night from 5 â€“ 6 pm Cocktail Hour and Dinner at 6PM, with an open house to follow
Please make sure your delegates read this so they can make the business meeting sessions on Friday.
The Parade will be on Saturday June 23rd in Hanover Twp. The Parade starts at 2PM as always and the rest of the information will be in the Company Packet which will be sent out in March/April from Hanover Twp. Fire District to all Companies belonging to Six County.
President: Elected at the 114th Jermyn Convention for his first term in office as President is
William Tarby, from Lackawanna County: Bill is a life member of our organization and has served as Vice President for a number of years and was instrumental in forming the Scholarship committee. Bill has held a number of positions in the Volunteer Fire Co., #3 of Throop including Asst. Chief and President. Â
Secretary: Gary Perna, Jr. – of McAdoo, PA.Â Gary has been a member of the Association since 2007 and served as Vice-President of Schuylkill County for two years, President for two years. He is an active volunteer member of the McAdoo Fire Co. Inc., of McAdoo.
Treasurer: Joseph Simonovich of Warrior Run is your Treasurer and in his 5th 3 year term.

The Offices to be open for Election at the 2018 Convention are: The President with the Six Vice-Presidents, and Chaplain for One Year terms, along with the Secretary and Treasurer for 3 year terms.

CONVENTIONS: 2019 OPEN! 2020 OPEN!
Future Convention are OPEN!!!! Please consider taking a Convention year and being a Host. Contact the Secretary for more information. (Host Convention sites get a $5,000.00 check at the convention) We need someone to take up the convention for 2018 and onward.
There are also options on taking the convention if you’re a small community or if going in with one or two other communities to host a convention. There is always support from other companies.
PLEASE THINK ABOUT IT.
I ask you and your organization to host a Bi-Monthly meeting for 2018-2019. It would be great to see other organizations do this so we can visit different areas.
Meetings are held on the 3rd Sunday of September, November, January and March. The May meeting is held by the Convention Host.
Meetings start at 2PM with permanent Committees meeting at 1:30PM prior to the regular meeting.
Think about it hosting a meeting as it would be greatly appreciated and you company receive a $150.00 stipend for hosting and serving food and beverages. Contact the Secretary
AWARDS: Courage Valor Fire Prevention Fire Chief Hall of Fame
REMEMBER to submit your nominations for the Walter Sawchak Fire Prevention award and the Annual Valor Awards and Courage Awards ASAP. If you are not sure on the specificâ€™s of the Valor or Courage and Fire Prevention Awards please call the Secretary. All submissions must be in to the Secretary by June 1st.
BY-LAW CHANGES TO BE VOTED ON AT CONVENTION:
The addition of a FUNDRAISING COMMITTEE, the committee will be made up of 7 members with two being the Secretary and Treasurer, the rest of the committee will be appointed by the sitting President.
A change to the Scholarship committee, removing the secretary from the committee and adding a member from at large.
